Alternative Fuels : Emission reduction certificates
Key take-aways
An emission reduction certificate is an official declaration that you can use for your reporting an indirect carbon emission reduction (scope 3).
OVRSEA does not profit from its green offers, and provides them at cost price.
What you get depending on the transport mode you use :
- Biofuel & LNG : every quarter, you’ll receive an emission reduction certificate provided by the carrier and Ovrsea, indicating each biofuel or LNG purchasing.
- B100 : biodiesel produced from French grown Colza. Every quarter, you will receive a certificate from Ovrsea to certify the transport made using B100.
- SAF : every quarter, you’ll receive an emission reduction certificate provided by Ovrsea, indicating the SAF volume purchased. If you exceed a total investment of 12 500 euro per year, you will also receive a more thorough emission reduction report by the air carrier.
